PurpleGold was founded by Emmanuel Ekeke, an experienced education professional with a strong background in both local school leadership and international ESL teaching.
Emmanuel began his career in the Nigerian education system, serving as a class teacher, mathematics and science teacher, and head of school. Through these roles, he developed deep expertise in classroom instruction, teacher supervision, curriculum delivery, and school leadership.
Over time, he expanded into the international ESL teaching industry, teaching English to students from China and other countries through online platforms. While working in this space, he discovered a critical gap—many talented African educators lacked the knowledge and guidance needed to access global teaching opportunities or grow their professional capacity.
This insight became the founding purpose of PurpleGold: to bridge the gap between local educational development and global professional opportunity for African educators
